The figatellu is a Corsican specialty. This sausage can be grilled on a barbecue, cooked in a sauce with lentils or simply eaten raw once dry-cured. In certain regions, it’s often eaten accompanied with pulenda (a bread made with chestnut flour) and broccio,
a whey cheese.

This sausage has a feisty character, so it’s best to leave it
mature in peace…

The Maison Cisson knitted figatellu is pretty much the same. It’s aim in life is to nap aimlessly, while hanging from a nail in your kitchen wall. Try not to bother it too much, it’s Corsican after all… You have been warned!
