"Le Rouquin Des Campagnes"
100% Knitted Cheese Plus Shopping Bag
Made In France / Registered Trademark
Maroilles, Munster, Époisses, Langres, Livarot, Pont-l’Evêque… They all belong the prestigious family of washed-rind cheeses, and for the most part, they’re made in the north-east of France according to a century’s-old recipe – just like our very own Rouquin des Campagnes! And because here at MAISON CISSON we can’t get enough of cheese, we decided to make our very own unique knitted version.
The Rouqin des Campagnes is a wonderful soft-paste cow’s-milk cheese that’s washed in Marc de Bourgogne pomace brandy, giving it that distinctive orangey rind. And MAISON CISSON serves up its own knitted version, capturing that same colourful rind.
So, how would we describe it? First of all, it comes in an authentic box made from spruce wood from the Jura department in France. Next, there’s the nifty label that’s inspired by vintage French cheese labels. Open it up to find a knitted cheese pouch made from orange-coloured wools, and hiding inside is a re-usable polyester shopping bag with a red and white gingham print – for that added French touch. It all makes for a rather quirky gift or a souvenir from France that’s truly one of a kind. And not forgetting, it’s 100% made in France.
Le Rouquin des Campagnes cheese is from MAISON CISSON, the number 1 for knitted French cheese and charcuterie.
