Our original Rosette de Lyon has been so successful that we decided to create a version with traditional red netting. Imagine the reaction you’ll get when you hook it alongside a red and white gingham tea towel, or even a crisp white linen one. It’s sure to turn a few heads, making for a rather spectacular kitchen decoration.

From afar, this saucisson looks like the real deal with its red and white wools and its label featuring a sheep in a chef’s hat – and said hat is symbolic of the great Lyonnaise cuisine. The whole ensemble really sets the scene, and the Rosette de Lyon is truly the one for saucisson lovers!

Decked out in its traditional cotton netting, the Rosette de Lyon is the Sharon Stone of knitted saucissons – and this red version is all dressed up like it’s ready for the Cannes Festival red carpet.

As for the edible version, it’s a saucisson with peasant origins. The rosette is stuffed into a bullet-shaped casing giving it a distinctive tapered shape. Next, it goes in a netting and is dry-cured for two to three months, and once ready, it must be stored in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. However, there’s no need to take such precautions with MAISON CISSON’s version, as our knitted saucisson will never perish!

The knitted Rosette de Lyon is made by MAISON CISSON, the number 1 for knitted French charcuterie.

Our Cheeses, saucissons and hooks are all delivered in France by Colissimo’s 2-days tracked service. For other countries, you can follow the routing of your parcel with the tracking number on colissimo.fr
