Sure, it’s a little bit podgy, but it’s super funny! We’re rather fond of the saucisson d’Arles as it was the very first saucisson that MAISON CISSON made. And thanks to its creamy-beige coloured wool, it goes with any kitchen décor.

MAISON CISSON has followed tradition to create a rather personal and unique knitted version of the saucisson d’Arles that’s been tied up in the traditional way using white cotton kitchen string. Hung from a butcher’s hook alongside a red and white gingham tea towel, it’ll sure look the part in any kitchen!

Originally from Bologna, the saucisson d’Arles was imported to Arles in 1655 by an Arlesian butcher called Godart. The edible version is gray and cylindrical, around 8 inches long, 2 inches in diameter and weighing around 300 grams.

The knitted aucisson d’Arles is made by MAISON CISSON, the number 1 for knitted French charcuterie.

Our Cheeses, saucissons and hooks are all delivered by Colissimo’s 2-day tracked service with signature required on delivery.
